I wrapped up chapter 8 this morning. It turned out to be a long chapter. I have some good ideas for the next few chapters. I get ideas as I'm falling asleep at night. I go to sleep around 6:30 or 7:00. I have the main idea for the book when I start it, but the smaller chapter plots come to me as I progress. I feel like the whole story is going on in my head, and I just pick out the interesting parts to tell the reader. Each character has a life of their own, but not all of them can be told. Who cares about the innkeeper's sore feet? I try to get to the heart of the matter, and only tell what is needed to advance the story.
